About this course

You need basic TCP/IP knowledge: IP addresses, ports, and the difference between TCP and UDP. You should be able to run Linux commands as root or with sudo. Prior IDS experience is not required, and no prior Suricata knowledge is needed either; this course treats Snort as its own engine with its own rule dialect.
